“Bubble trouble” Original painting

$1,000.00

“Bubble trouble” is part of the exhibition @thecoocoos up until May 29th! Go check it out! ☺️

This painting is one of my early works, around september 2020!

For this one, my challenge was to use colors that are not my usual color palette. Even tho there is a lot of aqua, the rest of the colors are colors that i am not naturally inclined to use, like mustard yellow, rusty orange and some shades of green that are different!

Back then, i was not using neon paints yet, these days i tend to have few colors that have at least few drops of neon in it, that’s why the colors in my earlier works are different! But that’s a good thing too! It just shows that its good to explore and try new things!

This fish is my version of a pyke, obviously with a twist!

I love fish, birds etc i find inspiration in their pattern and colors!

I remember going ice fishing once with my dad back home in Canada when i was a kid, i think the only thing we caught was a pyke 😂 it was the biggest fish i’ve ever caught! Obviously we released it! I used to love going by the lake where i grew up, find worms and go fishing on the dock, can’t count how many times the line got stuck in rocks and we had to cut it off 😅

I remember my cousin @jennyphillips87 had a kid’s fishing rod with a handle in a shape of a Orca! Our favorite hooks were obviously neon yellow glittery jellies, we caught nothing 😂

So good memories, there’s something about living close to water and nature, glad that in Iceland we are minutes away from the ocean 🥰

This summer i will be going back to Canada visit friends and family, i havn’t gone in 3 years, crazy! I can’t wait to camp by the lake and hopefully wake up early to witness this ghostly fog magical hour ☺️✨
