“Energy boost”

$0.00

Look! There’s a strange flower overhere! Let me have some of that sweet nectar and see what happens! ⚡️🌼🤪

(Story time!) Growing up in Canada, i remember seeing hummingbirds a couple times during the summer. Every time, it felt magical. They are such colorful tiny creature. Their wings are moving so fast, yet they remain so still somehow! Their appearances always lasted only a few seconds, but it was always a special moment to be able to witness!

For this painting, i initially didn’t have the hummingbird idea in mind when i sketched it, but after i was done sketching the flower, I felt like something was missing. Don’t ask me why but the first thing that came to my mind was a hummingbird and I decided to go with it and see what happens!

After i was done with this painting, just by curiosity, i looked up the symbolism of hummingbirds. There are of course many interpretations trough different cultures and situations, but had an interesting read nonetheless!

One of the parts that resonated with me was “The hummingbird represents an ancient symbol of joy and happiness. Its colorful appearance brings good luck and positive energy to our lives.” -Garth C. Clifford, Worldbirds.com

Just a little bit like what i’m trying to share to you trough my art 💖
