⚡️🌴☀️A bit more about”Vacation 4ever”
I started this painting last summer, at the start of my summer vacation!
I have a little bit of a hard time staying still at home and not working on any project when i don’t travel for vacation! 😋
So, i thought it was the perfect timing to start a new big painting! I wanted to channel something energetic, tropical and playful!
After long dark winters here in Iceland, summers are always so welcome! I wanted to encapsulate all the energy of summer and a daydream about a tropical vacation in one painting, hoping that it will cheer up anyone looking at it and bring energy during those dark winter days, or just sad or grey days in general!
The past 3 years have been challenging for me mentally and physically after an injury, my mind took me places i didn’t even know it could go. I am slowly getting better after long struggles, but i would say starting painting happy things helped me a lot distracting me from pain and anxiety, and reminded me that i am deep inside genuinely a happy person and nothing can take that away from me. Sometimes, you just need to remember yourself all the good you are capable of and create more positive moments to fill your heart with joy🥰
On another note, the pinks in this painting are UV reactive, which is very fun! I think it was the 2nd painting where i started to experiment with neon paints and i’m not stopping anytime soon! There’s just something about it bringing the colors to another level! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
